iXoost has created the perfect iPod dock for any car enthusiast. The iXoost is the first hand crafted iPod dock to come from Modena, Italy, a city that has been given the nickname, the “Land of Engines.” According to its creators, the “iXoost is a pleasure machine, coupling fine mechanical workmanship with the high-tuned nerves of a throbbing Formula One tailpipe.”
The iXoost is the result of a partnership between Matteo Panini and Mirco Pecorari, who came up with the idea of creating audio systems out of exhaust manifolds from Formula One cars. The iPod dock system comes in 8, 10, and 12-cylinder versions with a total 420 watts of power.
How much does it cost? The starting prices range from €5,000-€8,000 ($6,100-$9,700). It’s not cheap, but it’s definitely impressive!
